Introducing the Steriflow MK93 steam trap performance warranty!
Steriflow warrants that the MK93 Sanitary steam trap's subcooling capabilities will prevent condensate backup in standard " sanitary tubing in excess of 8" upstream of the trap for two years in certain SIP applications. Ask us for more specifics.
NFPA makes changes to Standard on Explosion Protection by Deflagration Venting
If you have processes in your plant which generate dust or potentially explosive particles, you may want to pay attention. The NFPA 68 - 2007 edition represents a complete revision, as well as a change to standard. The new "Standard on Explosion Protection by Deflagration Venting" now provides mandatory requirements for the location, installation, design, maintenance, and use of devices and systems that vent pressures from deflagrations. The Committee incorporated a new chapter on performance based design that enables users to prepare alternative design methods to satisfy the requirements for gas and mist mixtures, for dusts, and for hybrid mixtures.

The Ball Valve That's Revolutionizing The Industry
The CV3000 Series ball valve is a v-type control valve for precise fluid control allowing high pressure drop capability with straight-through flow and bubble-tight shut off. The CV3000 Series is a state-of-the-art modulating ball valve for fluid control offering high capacity with increased rangeability. The throttling element of the valve is a v-control metal insert located behind the upstream seat. This protects the soft seats from high velocities and ensures bubble-tight shut off when required. The soft seats and/or the v-style insert can be changed in the field with no need for lapping ball, seats or insert. The valve offers metal encapsulated soft seats to prevent cold-flow under adverse temperature, pressure, or modulating service conditions.
The CV3000 Series v-control insert and metal encapsulated seats provide lower operating torque with less hystersis. This valve is available in sizes 1/2" through 4" standard port and 1/4" through 3 full port design. Materials of construction include Hastelloy B, Alloy 20, Hastelloy C, Bronze, Monel, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and other special materials such as Duplex, 254 SMO, and Titanium. A variety of soft seat materials are available including PTFE, Carbon or Stainless filled PTFE, Delrin, or PEEK.
The CV3000 can be custom made to order for almost any application. The ISO mounting pad is manufactured to most actuator and automation specifications. Adapter plates are available for non ISO actuators and automation systems. Applications include Utility service: Oil, Gas, Water, Heating, and Cooling. Industrial: Quenching, Filtration. General Process: Mixing Blending.
Having a V- Style insert that can be quickly and easily changed in the field provides flexibility for process changes without the need to replace the entire valve. Saving both the cost and the down time of new valve replacement.
Accurate Magmeters For Water Treatment
Increasingly tight environmental and health & safety regulations require high quality drinking water in taps and non-polluting wastewater that is adequately treated prior to discharge. Instrumentation is critical to assure water meets these regulations since the control and measurement of the various processes determines the quality of the water consumed, recycled, or discharged. Electromagnetic flow meters play a vital role in any water or wastewater treatment plant's operation and can be used in a wide range of applications to measure flows for water, waste activated sludge, clarifier underflow, return activated sludge, treatment chemicals, and primary effluent. In fact electromagnetic flow meters are ideal for applications with any clean, dirty, or corrosive liquid and slurries which are conductive. Typical minimum liquid conductivity requirements are 5uS/cm.
Flow Technology EL 2200 Series of electromagnetic flow meters represent the state-of-the-art for accurate measurement in water, waste water, and process applications. Flow Technology's new-generation sensor incorporates improvements that allow accurate operation throughout all flow regimes, allowing up to a 1000:1 turndown, accuracy +/- 0.20% of reading with velocity greater than 0.2 m/s, and +/- 0.1% repeatability. No moving parts allow for zero pressure drop through the meter and bi-directional flow. Flow meter sizes accommodate pipes 1" to 16" with flow ranges of 1.38 gpm to 18,779 gpm. Rugged welded housing construction includes 304 sst flow tube with carbon or stainless flanges, three Hastelloy C 22 electrodes (third electrode eliminates the need for additional grounding rings), insulated windings, and totally sealed assembly. Standard liner in 1" thru 6" is PTFE and ebonite for sizes larger than 6". The units provide IP68 rating which is suitable for permanent immersion in water up to a depth of 1.5 meters and optional to 10 meters.
